Alex Logan

Adjunct Instructor
After serving in the Marine Corps, Alex was drawn to the fire service and EMS for its parallels to the military—career stability, camaraderie, adrenaline, and the opportunity to help others. With 10 years of experience, he holds an extensive list of certifications including Firefighter I & II, Ice Rescue Technician, Swiftwater Rescue Technician, Rope Rescue Technician, Aircraft Crash Fire Rescue, Shipboard Firefighter, Hazmat Operations, Wildland Firefighter, NREMT Advanced EMT, FAA Airframes & Powerplant Certifications, and an FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License with Radar Endorsement, among others.Alex believes teaching is a two-way street: it helps new providers gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed while also allowing him to strengthen and refine his own expertise. After connecting with FireMed’s education model and its mission to improve access to fire and EMS certifications, he knew he wanted to contribute.Outside of the fire service, Alex enjoys building and repairing just about anything. For him, every project is a chance to learn, pick up a new skill, and add a new tool to his collection.
