Kate Meehan brings 25 years of frontline emergency services experience to her role as Lead Instructor and Clinical Coordinator, rooted in a lifelong passion for communications and civil service. Inspired by childhood days spent operating HAM radios with her father—a civil service professional involved with Seabrook Station—Kate’s career path solidified as she immersed herself in the dynamic world of fire service communications.Beginning as a communications specialist, Kate progressed through every operational tier: firefighter, EMT, AEMT, paramedic, and eventually EMS Officer at Hampton Fire before retiring. Her journey reflects a commitment to mastering both technical and human elements of emergency response. As a certified AHA and Pro Board Instructor, she now channels her expertise into shaping the next generation of clinicians, emphasizing clear communication, critical thinking, and adaptability under pressure.Kate’s contributions to EMS education are multifaceted. She leverages decades of field experience to develop realistic training scenarios that bridge classroom theory and real-world application, fostering collaborative learning environments where students benefit from shared insights among seasoned EMS professionals. Additionally, she guides students through AHA and Pro Board certifications with a focus on competency and confidence, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of emergency response.An avid traveler and live music enthusiast, Kate balances her dedication to education with adventures in warmer climates and front-row experiences at concerts.
